Stadium & Visitor Centre
The Olympiastadion Berlin was built for the Olympic Games 1936 to designs by the architect Werner March. Starting in August of 2000 the Olympiastadion was renovated and modernised - under strict guidelines of the Monument Conservation Authority - to meet the high standards of international sports associations. Since modernisation was completed in summer of 2004, the biggest German stadium is once again available for events of any kind.
Since August 2, 2004, the Olympiastadion Berlin is open to the public on a daily basis (except on event days).
On the next few pages you will find a complete history of the stadium, informations on the visitor programs and many pictures from the different areas of the Olympiastadion Berlin. You can also take a look at the Olympiastadion Berlin right now using our webcams.
